The Council of the European Union adopted the final version of the AI Act on May 21, 2024:
The latest changes are limited to corrections to the footnotes, lower case in the chapter headings and a few corrections to typos. Our Online and print versions are updated accordingly.
The AI Act will soon be published in the Official Gazette and will then enter into force twenty days later. In principle, the AI Act will become applicable two years after its entry into force, subject to staggered entry into force:
