The Article 29 Working Party has published FAQ for companies on the EU-US Privacy Shield. The FAQ are dated December 13, 2016, and are available here (PDF).
A Privacy Shield is not yet in sight for Switzerland. However, the preliminary draft of the FADP (VE DSG) provides in Art. 56 lit. b that the Federal Council may conclude international treaties on the mutual recognition of an adequate level of data protection. According to the explanatory report, this provision refers specifically to the conclusion of an agreement to replace the Safe Harbor Agreement, i.e. the conclusion of a CH-US Privacy Shield.
