Artic­le 29 Working Group: Action Plan 2017

On Janu­ary 17, 2017, the Artic­le 29 Working Group adopted its Action Plan 2017 published. Accor­ding to this, the working group would like to rea­li­ze the fol­lo­wing in 2017:

  • Fina­li­ze gui­dance docu­ments and cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on mecha­nisms star­ted in 2016 regar­ding risk hand­ling, admi­ni­stra­ti­ve sanc­tions, and data pro­tec­tion impact assess­ment; intro­du­ce a Euro­pean Data Pro­tec­tion Board; imple­ment the One-stop-shop;
  • Crea­te gui­dance docu­ments regar­ding con­sent, pro­fil­ing, and transparency;
  • Update its gui­dance on data trans­fers to third count­ries and data breach notifications.

On May 18 and 19, 2017, the Working Par­ty invi­tes data pro­tec­tion aut­ho­ri­ties from non-EU count­ries to an exch­an­ge of views regar­ding the GDPR and its imple­men­ta­ti­on by the Working Party.
