The European Council has agreed to the Digital Services Act (DSA; an overview can be found here) was approved on October 4, 2022 (see the Media release of the Council). Together with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the DSA forms the new European legal framework for the regulation of digital services (see also here). The DSA will now be published in the Official Gazette and will be generally applicable 15 months later.
For its part, the DMA is on 12 October 2022 published in the Official Journal have been made. It will apply in part from May 2, 2023, and in other parts on June 25, 2023 (Art. 54 DMA).
