DSK: Hambach Declaration on Artificial Intelligence

The German Data Protection Conference (DSK) has published a report known as the “Hambacher Declaration on Artificial Intelligence“The statement states, among other things, that the use of AI must comply with data protection principles. The declaration states, among other things, that the use of AI must comply with the principles of data protection law. This requires, among other things, that AI be transparent, comprehensible and explainable, and that discrimination be avoided. Among other things, the controller is obliged to explain decisions based on AI not only in terms of the result, but also with regard to the processes and how decisions are reached, including the logic involved.
