FDPIC – Disclosure of personal data to third parties by clubs and organizers of sporting events

Associations or organizers of an event cannot disclose the addresses of their members or of participants to their sponsors or other third parties without further ado. Disclosure of personal data for marketing purposes can only be justified by voluntary consent after adequate information of the data subjects. We have drawn the attention of those responsible to the legal requirements for data processing and recommended that they amend their statutes and regulations accordingly.
