Companies wishing to distribute paternity tests in Switzerland must take precautions to ensure that the written consent of all persons concerned has been obtained. They must verify the legal validity of the submitted consents in an effective procedure. This is the only way to prevent tissue samples from children being taken secretly and paternity tests being performed without the knowledge of the partner.
