Today, a large number of so-called webcams can be selected on the Internet. These are video cameras that provide live images – e.g. of tourist regions – at certain intervals or at the user’s request. The webcams are used for entertainment purposes and are intended to make the corresponding websites more attractive to visitors. These explanations refer to webcams directed at generally accessible areas (such as streets, parking lots, train stations, department stores, etc.) in Switzerland.
