Company mergers are the order of the day in the economy. In the various reorganization and merger processes, personal data is transferred and processed manifold. The main risk here is that unauthorized persons gain access to personal information, that too much data is disclosed (too early or to the wrong people), or that personal data is suddenly used for purposes other than intended.
