FDPIC – The use of digi­tal elec­tri­ci­ty meters

With the new Elec­tri­ci­ty Sup­p­ly Act, the elec­tri­ci­ty mar­ket has been gra­du­al­ly dere­gu­la­ted sin­ce 1.1.2008. Tog­e­ther with the various alter­na­ti­ve ener­gy sources, this makes new con­sump­ti­on recor­ding neces­sa­ry. Digi­tal meters, so-cal­led “smart meters,” can store a gre­at deal of data, which poses pri­va­cy risks from a data pro­tec­tion perspective.
