The latest trend in the video surveillance market is called “dashcam”. These cameras are installed in vehicles to film what is happening on the road. The reasons for this range from pure entertainment to obtaining evidence in case of accidents. In some countries, such cameras are required by law or by liability insurers, but in Switzerland their use violates principles of data protection law.
