Com­pa­nies have an inte­rest in only employing peo­p­le who do not pose a secu­ri­ty thre­at. Espe­ci­al­ly in indu­stries such as IT, ban­king or cut­ting-edge tech­no­lo­gy, whe­re employees have access to sen­si­ti­ve faci­li­ties and data, the­re is a need to con­duct per­so­nal secu­ri­ty checks. The fol­lo­wing explains which data pro­tec­tion law requi­re­ments pri­va­te employers must obser­ve in this regard.
