The Federal Act on the Promotion of Sport and Physical Activity, which entered into force on October 1, 2012, created a legal basis for the fight against doping in Switzerland. In particular, they regulate doping controls and the exchange of data between national and international anti-doping agencies and law enforcement and judicial authorities.
