The National Council has referred the bill on electronic access to the land register back to the Federal Council. The point of contention was the identification for access. The Federal Council had proposed the AHV insurance number for this purpose (cf. Message and draft from April 2014). The National Council, on the other hand, would like to introduce a separate identifier, partly because of concerns expressed by the FDPIC (cf. the Activity report 2014/2015 of the FDPIC).
In addition, the extended access of lawyers should be restricted. They, too, should only receive information upon request. The bill now goes to the Council of States.
