Bern. In future, the business administration of the federal administration is to be handled electronically as a matter of principle. The Federal Council has now regulated the principles for data processing and the requirements for information security in a new ordinance, which it adopted on Friday and brought into force on January 1, 2013. The requirements of the ordinance must be implemented by the end of 2015 at the latest. In this way, the Federal Council is guaranteeing lawful, efficient, transparent and secure business processes.
