The GDPR – as a text of EEA relevance – will be directly applicable in Liechtenstein. At present, the corresponding adoption decision of the Joint Committee of the EEA and EFTA is with the EU Commission. As the Liechtenstein National Administration announces, the GDPR is expected to enter into force “at the beginning of July” 2018. The implementation law (see our previous post) will very likely not be able to enter into force until later, however.
