Revi­si­on of the FADP: Preli­mi­na­ry draft and accom­pany­ing docu­ments published

Today, after some post­po­ne­ments, the Fede­ral Coun­cil has published the preli­mi­na­ry draft of a revi­sed DPA with accom­pany­ing docu­ments (see Media release):

• Expl­ana­to­ry report on the preli­mi­na­ry draft of the Fede­ral Act on the total revi­si­on of the Data Pro­tec­tion Act and the amend­ment of other enact­ments on data protection
• Preli­mi­na­ry draft DSG
• Preli­mi­na­ry draft amend­ment of fur­ther enact­ments on data protection
• Fede­ral decree on the appr­oval of the exch­an­ge of notes bet­ween Switz­er­land and the EU
• Regu­la­to­ry Impact Assess­ment (RIA) on the Revi­si­on of the Fede­ral Data Pro­tec­tion Act (FADP). Final report dated July 11, 2016
