Arti­cle 29 Working Par­ty: FAQ on the Pri­va­cy Shield for companies 

The Arti­cle 29 Working Par­ty has published FAQ for com­pa­nies on the EU-US Pri­va­cy Shield. The FAQ are dated Decem­ber 13, 2016 and are avail­ab­le here (PDF). A Pri­va­cy Shield is not yet in sight for Switzerland.The preli­mi­na­ry draft of the DPA (VE DSG) pro­vi­des in Art. 56 lit.

Trans­at­lan­tic Data Trans­fer: U.S. Government to Par­ti­ci­pa­te in Euro­pean Pro­cess Regar­ding U.S. Mass Surveillance 

Sin­ce the annulment of Safe Har­bor by the ECJ (C‑362/14) in Octo­ber 2015, Face­book based its trans­at­lan­tic data trans­fers on the EU stan­dard con­trac­tu­al clau­ses. On May 25, 2016, the Irish Data Pro­tec­tion Aut­ho­ri­ty (DPC) announ­ced that it would have the lega­li­ty of the stan­dard con­trac­tu­al clau­ses as the basis for trans­at­lan­tic data trans­fers asses­sed by the ECJ.

EU-US Pri­va­cy Shield: a first overview
