Pro­tec­tion against cyber risks: Fede­ral Coun­cil adopts ordi­nan­ce and fur­ther human resources

The Fede­ral Coun­cil has appro­ved the Ordi­nan­ce on the Orga­nizati­on of the Con­fe­de­ra­ti­on for Pro­tec­tion against Cyber Risks (CyRV), which will enter into force on July 1, 2020:

The Ordi­nan­ce on Pro­tec­tion against Cyber Risks in the Fede­ral Admi­ni­stra­ti­on (Cyber Risks Ordi­nan­ce, CyberRV) crea­tes the legal basis for the inter­de­part­ment­al orga­nizati­on of the Con­fe­de­ra­ti­on for pro­tec­tion against cyber risks and spe­ci­fi­es the respon­si­bi­li­ties for the area of cyber secu­ri­ty. In par­ti­cu­lar, the tasks and com­pe­ten­ci­es of the new­ly crea­ted inter­de­part­ment­al bodies “Core group cyber” and “Stee­ring Com­mit­tee of the Natio­nal Stra­tegy for the Pro­tec­tion of Switz­er­land against Cyber Risks (NCS)”, the func­tion of the or the Dele­ga­tes from the fede­ral cyber­se­cu­ri­ty com­mu­ni­ty and the Natio­nal Cyber Secu­ri­ty Cen­ter (NCSC). regu­la­ted.
