The Ordinance of 4 April 2007 on the Processing of Personal Data in the Federal Customs Administration (Data Processing Ordinance for the FCA; SR 631.01) has been supplemented around ten times with new regulations in the annexes since it came into force on 1 May 2007. Changes in the control philosophy and thus in the way the FCA works have called for more information on the FCA’s entire activities in all areas and at all hierarchical levels. With these needs, but also with the technological changes and further developments, some of the FCA’s information systems were replaced, expanded, merged or newly introduced.
