Cla­ri­fi­ca­ti­on of the facts by the FDPIC: Data pro­ce­s­sing in the medi­cal exami­na­ti­on ser­vice of CSS Kran­ken-Ver­si­che­rung AG

Bern, 27.04.2007 – As part of its func­tion as data pro­tec­tion super­vi­so­ry aut­ho­ri­ty, the Fede­ral Data Pro­tec­tion and Infor­ma­ti­on Com­mis­sio­ner (FDPIC) has car­ri­ed out a fact-fin­ding inve­sti­ga­ti­on into the medi­cal trust ser­vice of CSS Kran­ken-Ver­si­che­rung AG and iden­ti­fi­ed short­co­mings. On April 17, 2007, he issued six recom­men­da­ti­ons for the atten­ti­on of CSS. CSS has 30 days to accept or reject the recommendations.
