FDPIC – Expl­ana­to­ry notes on digi­tal tele­vi­si­on, ITV and IPTV

Up to the pre­sent, the two tech­no­lo­gies of digi­tal tele­vi­si­on (DVB) and tele­vi­si­on via the Inter­net (IPTV) have main­ly pre­vai­led, making a wide ran­ge of pro­grams available to the audi­ence. The con­ver­gence of tele­pho­ne, Inter­net and tele­vi­si­on media that has emer­ged in recent years opens up new busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties for tele­com­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons and media pro­vi­ders. Broad­band access to the Inter­net pro­vi­des con­su­mers and tele­vi­si­on pro­vi­ders with a return chan­nel that enables the inter­ac­ti­ve design of tele­vi­si­on programs.
